Bad Applebox is Cody Ball, a guy whose first experience on a film set was an applebox giving him a serious splinter. Luckily the splinter didn’t deter him---he obtained a BFA in Film from NYU Tisch, and recently has stopped wearing protective gloves while handling appleboxes.
Cody directs, shoots, and edits a variety of content ranging from short narrative & documentary films to corporate commercials. His sleek, high-energy style of filmmaking is often sought after by active-lifestyle brands and athletic organizations. Cody’s work is known to incorporate highly creative detail in both visuals and sound.
Cody’s influence comes in all shapes and sizes; from physical movement, to music, to philosophy-spilling citizens on the streets. His range of interests has led to some cool recent work: An array of Parkour mini-docs, an educational web series that will fail to teach you anything, a short doc that captures the essence of amateur skateboarding, and a short narrative film about unlucky golfers.
When Cody isn’t working on his own stuff, he’s a Director & Cinematographer of original content at CLICKON Studios, a digital publisher that explores millennial sports culture.
